Department of ENT

The Department of ENT (Otorhinolaryngology) of Naogaon Medical College is an important clinical department of the institution and plays a significant role in undergraduate medical education and patient care. Since the establishment of the college, the department has been actively involved in teaching, clinical service, and training of future medical graduates in diseases of the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck.

The department is responsible for teaching Otorhinolaryngology to MBBS students during their clinical years. Teaching focuses on the diagnosis and management of common ENT disorders, hearing and balance assessment, airway management, and head and neck conditions, with emphasis on clinical examination skills, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.

The Department of ENT is staffed with qualified, experienced, and dedicated faculty members, supported by medical officers, residents, nursing staff, and trained technical personnel. Academic and clinical activities are conducted in a systematic and disciplined manner in accordance with the curriculum prescribed by the relevant authority.

Clinical teaching is carried out through bedside teaching, outpatient and inpatient services, ward rounds, operation theater exposure, case presentations, tutorials, seminars, and lectures. Students are provided with hands-on exposure to ENT examinations, diagnostic procedures, and surgical observation under proper supervision.

The department is supported by well-equipped ENT outpatient clinics, wards, diagnostic facilities, and operation theaters with essential instruments. Modern teaching aids, including multimedia presentations and audiovisual equipment, are regularly used to enhance effective teaching and learning.
