The Department of Medicine of Naogaon Medical College is one of the major clinical departments of the institution and plays a central role in undergraduate medical education. Since the establishment of the college, the department has been actively involved in training students to develop sound clinical knowledge, diagnostic skills, and professional competence in internal medicine.

The department is responsible for teaching Medicine and its allied subjects to MBBS students, particularly during the clinical years. Teaching focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of common and complex medical conditions, with strong emphasis on clinical reasoning, patient-centered care, and evidence-based practice.

The Department of Medicine is staffed by qualified, experienced, and dedicated faculty members, supported by skilled medical officers, residents, and nursing staff. Academic and clinical activities are carried out in an organized and disciplined manner in accordance with the curriculum and guidelines prescribed by the relevant authority.

Clinical teaching is conducted through bedside teaching, ward rounds, case presentations, tutorials, seminars, and lectures. Students are exposed to a wide range of medical cases in inpatient and outpatient settings, which helps them develop practical skills and confidence in patient management.
